Machines of VDL PMB Tobacco

The mix of VDL PMB

VDL PMB, prides itself in developing custom solutions. Virtually every machine is unique among its type. Naturally these are often variations of one of the standard models we have developed, but every market segment has special requirements and that is why our application specialists work with you to incorporate special features into every custom-built machine. Their input plays a critical role in the configuration of the machine.

Primary equipment

Tresher S6, S8, S10

It is a well-known fact that it is impossible to entirely thresh and separate leaf tobacco in one single operation. Even if the threshing is done so well that the stems are entirely free of laminae, it will be technically not possible to separate stems and leaf during the first operation.

BD 300

There are several ways of drying filler, varying from the old-fashioned method of drying by natural means up to forced drying in drums using high contact temperatures. With PMB's BD 300 the solution is lying in between the two.

Bobbinizing

MBF 90

VDL PMB are the inventors of the bobbin system developed several different types of bobbin filling machines. The MBF 90 is a leaf cutting and bobbin winding machine based on experience.

DIE Groups

Each cigar needs his shape of a pre-cut leaf to roll the perfect bunch and/or cigar. For more than 80 years VDL PMB is improving the quality of the die-groups to cut those leaves in the perfect shape.

Bunch making

SWWV

The SWWV is a high-quality machine that makes bunches with head-shaped ends with a maximum speed of 160 CPM. The bunch making part of the machine is called SW and the head shaping part is called WV. At maximum speed the SWWV can make 80 bunches per minute, whereafter the double length bunch will be cut in half.

Variomat-S

VDL PMB is offering it's 85 years of experience in building machinery for the tobacco industry to keep you up and running.

MEZ

The MEZ is a semi-automatic bunch making machine. The MEZ is our bunch making machine.

Overwrapping

MIR

A modern complete machine such as the MIR is actually a synchronously coupled aggregate of a bunchmaker and a rolling machine. The bunchmaker portions off a quantity of filler tobacco and envelops it in binder.

MRC

The MRC is our natural wrapper over-rolling machine. Due the machine is semi-automatic an operator needs to place the natural wrapper leaf on the wrapper die.

MI-P

The MI-P is one of our Tobacco's over-rolling machines. It is specially designed to wrap a product with homogenized tobacco leaves or binder.

Tom DD

Tom DD is our twin arm over-rolling machine. Due to its way of gluing the leaf it is guaranteed that there will be no loose wraps, even after middle cutting.

HSO Sheet

VDL PMB fastest over-rolling machine is the HSO Sheet with a speed of 450 CPM.

HSO Natural Leaf

VDL PMB's second-fastest over-rolling machine is the HSO Natural Leaf with a speed of 500 CPM.

Cutting

HPC-2000

The HPC-2000 is a high speed perforating and cutting machine. The machine is executed in a double lane version allowing it to process up to 800 single-length cigars per minute.

Finishing

TPC 160

TPC 160 is part of our cigar finishing line-up. This machine combines two machines in one frame to reduce the footprint and create a perfect process between storage, tipping and finishing it in cellophane wrapping. A mouthpiece or tip creates an extra dimension in smoking a cigar.

TP 100

The PMB TP-100 / 160 is one of the machines in the PMB 100 range. It can either be an independent unit or be synchronously coupled to a film wrapping machine (C-100), an ordinary or a rollband banding machine (S-100/R-100) and/or a cedar wood wrapping machine (W-100).

C160

The C-160 is one of the machines in the finishing line of VDL PMB. It is used to wrap a finished product.

RSC 100

The VDL PMB - RSC 100 is part of our cigar finishing line-up. This machine combines three machines in one frame to reduce the footprint and create a perfect process between storage, banding and finishing it in cellophane wrapping.

S100

The S100 is one of the machines in the finishing line of VDL PMB. It is used to wrap a single die-cut band around a finished product up to 100 CPM. The machine can either be an independent unit or be synchronously coupled to other finishing machines of the VDL PMB line.

TR100 - TR 160

The TR160 is one of the machines in the finishing line of VDL PMB. It is used to trim a finished product to the correct size. The machine can either be an independent unit or be synchronously coupled to other finishing machines of the PMB line. The TR160 makes sure each product has a perfectly plane cut on the shaped mouth end, but also the fire end of the cigar at a speed of 160 CPM.

Manual

Handbuncher

The Handbuncher has been designed to roll easily and professional quality products of many different sizes. The machine is used by many professional product rollers around the world to manufacture hand-rolled products of professional quality. To gauge larger products the length of the rolling mat can easily be adjusted or be replaced.

Tuck cutter

Made from high-quality steel, our tuck cutters are durable and built to last. The extra-sharp crescent blades cut perfect ends on every product. If they ever get dull, they can be removed and sharpened or replaced. Due to the adjustable slider products can easily cut to the same size every time again.

Tray loader

VDL PMB offers a special tray for staking and unloading cigars to move bulk quantity from different processes and machinery. We developed our overwrapping and cutting machines to work seamlessly with the trays for unloading and loading cigars.

PA 100

The PA100 is one of the machines in the finishing line of VDL PMB. It is used to pierce a hole in a finished product up to a speed of 160 CPM.

W100

The PMB W-100 is one of the machines in the PMB 100 system. It can either be an independent unit or be synchronously coupled to a film wrapping machine (C-100), an ordinary or a rollband banding machine (S-100) and/or a tipper (TP-100).
